Abigail Hatanaka
Physiotherapy Resident
BSc Kin, MSc PT
Abigail holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Toronto and is a Registered Kinesiologist. She further advanced her expertise by earning a Master of Physiotherapy Studies from the University of Queensland in Australia, where she also gained certification in Hydrotherapy for the management of chronic diseases.
During her clinical rotations, she gained extensive experience in the areas of neurological rehabilitation, orthopaedics, and high-performance sports injuries.
Abigail integrates her clinical skillset and knowledge of human movement to design rehabilitation programs that aligns with the client’s functional goals. She firmly believes in a patient-centered approach, where the client becomes empowered and fully engaged in their own health journey, so they are able to maximize their quality of life.
In her spare time, Abigail enjoys training for half-marathons, learning Mandarin on Duolingo, portrait and street photography, and long ravine walks with her dog.
